  1. Where Have All the Good Times Gone (live ) (from One For the Road, ) Even though I have pretty well all of The Kinks' greatest hits on vinyl,I always wanted to have them all on a single CD or 2CD set so I could listen to them while remistforsaleclinsregonexluesempho.xyzinfo Essential Kinks is by far the best and most complete compilation of their hits, plus it was /5().
  2. Feb 26,  · The other B side, "Where Have All The Good Times Gone" is of much greater renown. Don't know about the sound quality as I've not heard it. For the best easily available comp, I would go with The Kinks The Ultimate Collection for decent sound and a very strong lineup of tracks.
  3. Of all the SUPER groups from the 60's THE KINKS have stayed true to what they played back in the early 60's the most, in fact they still play a good cross-section of their early hits when they tour. Each of these songs seems to be timeless, the older folks sing along while the younger kids simply listen and hear the songs for possibly the very /5(61).
  4. Kinks Greatest Hits is not what it pretends to be, but actually is a retitled s pressing of Well Respected Kinks that has exchanged "Don't You Fret", the record's weakest track, with the hit "Lola". In this form it was probably released only in Canada. See jackbutler's review for Greatest Hits! which actually belongs here: [Rating].

  6. Luckily, this is a first-rate collection of the Kinks greatest hits from the sixties and very early seventies. It has all the major early hits that put the Kinks on the map, and all the hits from the late sixties up to "Lola." I have to disagree, however, with the first reviewer, who implied that their only indispensable album is ARTHUR/5(15).
