  1. Like Scoop released in , Another Scoop features a multitude of demos, outtakes and unreleased material, many of which are songs by The Who. It was followed by Scoop 3 in , the third and last Scoop collection. All three albums were 2-disc sets, and in a pared-down compilation of them all was released as Scooped. Remastered versions of the original albums were released in , and .
  2. Mar 30,  · The beauty of Pete's home demos are that, going back to day one, they are of such high quality. Listen to the other great 60's writers (John Lennon for one) and the quality of the home recordings are lousy. Now, if Pete would just release the NEXT SCOOP and include such great demos as "Glow Girl", "I Can See For Miles" then I'll be a happy camper.
  3. Townshend's release, SCOOP, is a double album (here pressed into a single CD) of demos from all eras of Townshend's career. There's a reason why some songs never made it past the demo stage ("Zelda," "Piano: Tipperary"), but other previously unreleased tracks such as "Mary" (from the Who's aborted LIFEHOUSE project) are exceptional/5(22).
  4. It’s Hard by The Who celebrates its thirty fifth anniversary this month and it is as relevant an album today, as it was then. Twelve extraordinary tracks, nine exquisitely written by Pete Townshend.

  8. Who leader Pete Townshend's musical "play" PSYCHODERELICT is a song cycle interspersed with spoken-word dialogue. The theme, that of an aging and fading rock star struggling to find grace, is one that Townshend tackles frequently and usually with considerable aplomb. On this music-only version, Townshend lets the songs do the talking/5(46).
